Native Instruments Maschine is a hybrid of both hardware and software (including its own custom digital audio workstation/DAW). Native Instruments released the original Maschine model on April 1st 2009. It was met with critical acclaim, commercial success and glowing reviews from its users, and quickly amassed a huge worldwide fan base.

The Maschine range continues to expand, with consistent software updates as well as its latest addition, the Maschine Jam, offering a huge amount of extra features and abilities to controllerists around the globe.

Finger drumming performers such as Jeremy Ellis, MetroGnome, DJ Chamber, Mad Zach, junk-E-cat, Arius, Carl Rag and Tha Trickaz use Maschine hardware in their live performances and many world famous electronic and hip-hop music producers (such as Underworld, Pharell Williams, Jay-Z, Modeselektor, DJ Nu-Mark, Booka Shade, Frank Ocean, The Chemical Brothers and MK to name a few) are using the hardware and software for music production.
